Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Compress.Plus (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use Compress.Plus. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice, and your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Compress.Plus is a free, browser-based image compression and resizing platform. Our tools allow you to compress PNG, JPG, and WebP images, resize images to custom or preset dimensions, and convert between supported formats — all processed locally within your web browser.

Description of Service

Compress.Plus provides free online image processing tools that operate entirely within your web browser. The Service includes, but is not limited to, the following features:

• Image Compression: Reduce the file size of PNG, JPG, and WebP images using our proprietary multi-step compression algorithm while maintaining visual quality.
• Image Resizing: Change the dimensions of images to custom pixel sizes or select from preset dimensions optimized for social media platforms and web standards.
• Format Support: Process images in PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, and GIF formats with format-preserving output.
• Batch Processing: Process multiple images simultaneously with the same settings for efficiency.

All image processing is performed locally on your device using JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas technology. Your images are never uploaded to our servers during the processing workflow.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Compress.Plus only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal activity or to process images that contain illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, content that promotes terrorism, or content that violates applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
• Use the Service to process images that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, including copyright, trademark, or patent rights, unless you are the rightful owner or have obtained proper authorization.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including introducing malicious code, overloading our infrastructure, or engaging in denial-of-service activities.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable human usage patterns.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service's proprietary algorithm or code for the purpose of replication or redistribution.

Intellectual Property

The Compress.Plus website, including its original content, features, functionality, proprietary compression and resizing algorithms, user interface design, and overall appearance, are owned by Compress.Plus and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all images you process using Compress.Plus. We do not claim any ownership rights over your images. Since your images never leave your device during processing, there is no scenario in which Compress.Plus acquires, accesses, or stores your original or processed images.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our Service, except as permitted by these Terms or with our prior written consent.

User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the images you process using Compress.Plus and for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations. You represent and warrant that:

• You own the images you process or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to process them.
• The images you process do not violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other legal rights.
• Your use of the processed images, whether for personal, commercial, or any other purpose, complies with all relevant laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

Compress.Plus has no ability to monitor the content of images processed through our Service since all processing occurs locally on your device. We therefore cannot be held responsible for the nature, quality, or legality of images processed using our tools.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Compress.Plus is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Warranties that the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate, reliable, or meet your specific requirements.
• Warranties that any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected.

You understand and agree that your use of Compress.Plus is at your sole risk. The quality of image compression and resizing results may vary depending on the source image, browser capabilities, device specifications, and other factors beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Compress.Plus, its owners, operators, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Any content obtained from the Service.
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
• Any loss or damage to images processed through the Service, including but not limited to quality degradation, data loss, or file corruption.

This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if Compress.Plus has been advised of the possibility of such damage. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by law.

Service Modifications and Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, including the availability of any feature, database, or content, without notice or liability. We may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict access to parts or all of the Service without notice or liability. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if negotiation fails, through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision of these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving the intent of the original provision.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Compress.Plus regarding the use of the Service. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings you may have had with Compress.Plus.
